Uzbekistan Can Join CIS Free Trade Zone Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2012. Economic Council of the CIS supported accession of Uzbekistan to a agreement on free trade zone in the CIS, the chairperson of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev said.
Sergey Lebedev said the issue was considered at the meeting of the Council, which supported intention of Uzbekistan and this issue will be considered at the session of the CIS Council of the state of government.
The news agencies reported that free trade zone is international union, participants of which will abolish customs duties, taxes and dues.
Member states will carry out trade without duties and limitations. The participants can determine own trade rules with the third sides, as well asset corresponding subsidies rules in line with the international practices.
The agreement on free trade zone in the CIS was signed in October 2011 and Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine are signees of the document.
