Norilsk Nickel Amends its Organizational Structure
OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2012. OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter referred to as “MMC Norilsk Nickel”, “the Group” or “the Company”) introduced amendments into the organizational structure. General Director of the Company Mr. Strzhalkovsky signed the relevant order, reported the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel.
The position of the Company’s President was eliminated. The position of Deputy General Director – Head of Corporate Governance, Asset Management and Legal Cluster was instituted. The Deputy is responsible for judicial guidance of the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as for building-up corporate governance and asset management policy, and providing guarantees for the circulation of the Company’s securities and derivative financial instruments on formal and over-the-counter stock markets. Legal, Corporate Governance and Investor Relations Departments will report to the Deputy. Mrs. Elena Bezdenezhnykh, Ex-Director of the Company’s Legal Department, is appointed to this position.
Brief background information:
Elena Bezdenezhnykh was born on August 13, 1973 in Norilsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory). She graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University majoring in law. Her career began in 1995 in Zavenyagin Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, where she worked her way up from legal adviser to Director of Corporate Governance and Legal Department. In 2008, she was appointed Director of Legal Department of MMC Norilsk Nickel.
