OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2012. OJSC KAMAZ was awarded the Certificate of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The document officially confirms that KAMAZ achieved the EFQM Recognized Excellence 5 Stars and was included in the list of successful companies of Europe.

Receiving the certificate from Gennady Voronin, Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, President of the All-Russian Organization for Quality, Aleksandr Abramenko, Director of the Quality Department of OJSC KAMAZ, noted that the whole staff of KAMAZ had been working a lot to achieve that goal.

“This recognition is another indication that the automobile plant is the leader in the automobile industry,” said Mr. Abramenko. “The new status makes the enterprise highly responsible and ready for its further development in the interests of our customers”.

The achieved level of the excellence model is not the last one: the most prestigious European award for business excellence is the European Quality Award (EFQM). And, as KAMAZ was included in the so-called “contestants’ club”, its aim is not just to “storm” any level. The most important thing is to constantly improve the quality of operations, business processes, and management systems. The enterprise isn’t going to rest on its laurels.
