Leningrad OFAS Found Lenenergo Violated Antimonopoly Law
OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2012. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Leningrad Region (Leningrad OFAS Russia) found that “Lenenergo” OJSC violated the antimonopoly law by abusing its dominant market position. The company violated the application period for technological connection to electric power networks, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The case was initiated in February 2012 upon a petition of “Vsevolozhsk Enterprise of Electric Network Enterprise” Municipal Enterprise. According to the petitioner, in March – July 2011 “Vsevolozhsk Enterprise of Electric Network Enterprise” sent to “Lenenergo” OJSC 33 applications for technological connection to electric power networks, and only in February 2012 “Lenenergo” OJSC presented 32 draft contracts.
Leningrad OFAS Russia found that “Lenenergo” OJSC violated Clause 5 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
“Observing the deadlines for signing contracts between related network organizations is very important for end-customers who are awaiting technical conditions for launching their business-projects”, emphasized Deputy Head of Leningrad OFAS Russia, Gleb Konnov.
