OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2012. Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and The Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan is pleased to announce that its network infrastructure is ready to render high-quality mobile services to its customers and visitors during Eurovision-2012 in Baku, reported the press-centre of Bakcell.

In order to provide high quality mobile communication services Bakcell is currently installing an in-building mobile communication system. The system isdesigned in such a way to allow the other two operators access at “Baku Crystall Hall”, at the venue of “Eurovision 2012”.
According to the plan, the system will allow servicing 31500 customers, with connection of 2G and 3G channels of all three mobile operators. This is twice the seating capacity of the Crytsall Hall so all customers and visitors will enjoy exceptional coverage and quality.
Planned mobile communication system will be backed up and monitored live.
This project is set to be implemented by Beteko-Komtel, the Company which had already successfully implemented an in-building base station project on “Turk Telekom Arena” with the capacity of 55000 persons, which is considered to be one of the largest stadiums in Turkey.
For this project, Bakcell will use specially manufactured stadium antennas. These certified antennas are produced in Australia, and for the first time were used on the “Birdcage” stadium of China during the Olympics.
A group of Bakcell specialists will be working in shifts at the event venue in order to ensure the flawless operation of the system.
