OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2012. Eurasian Economic Commission considers Ukraine as the biggest trading partner of the Customs Union. This was stressed by the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission Victor Hristenko during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

"Ukraine - the biggest trading partner of the Customs Union", - he said.

Victor Hristenko added that the trade turnover between Ukraine and the CU last year reached 65 billion dollars. According to him this figure is equivalent to the domestic trade of the Customs Union. He also believes that for today there is every reason to increase turnover.

"We could provide a significant impetus for the intensification of trade turnover. 65 billion is a figure that meets throughout the volume of bilateral trade in the Customs Union", - Victor Hristenko said.
