OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2012. IBC members – managers of banks and microfinance companies – attended the round table on Responsible Crediting in the Kyrgyz Republic. The RT was held by IBC members, the International Finance Corporation, member of the World Bank Group, and the German Development Bank (KfW), reported the press-centre of IBC.  

Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jomart Otorbayev said that microcrediting was the core of the Kyrgyz economy. The number of granted microcredits is constantly growing and currently accounts for 30 billion KGS.

The Vice Prime Minister informed the participants of the Government efforts aimed at increasing microcrediting in the agricultural sector.  International experts in microfinance presented the analysis of the microfinance sector crisis in Bosnia and Ghana.
