OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2012. The Overseas Company of China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group) announced that, its branch in India was awarded with the contract for Chimney Works under the newly-built Amba River Coking Project of JSW-ISPAT. This is the second project undertaken by CFMCC Group for JSW-ISPAT, following the Sintering Works built up in 2004, reported the press-centre of CFMCC Group.

The project scope covers two stamp-charging coke ovens (5.5m?50 holes), with an annual output capacity of 1.1 million tons after being completed. It will contribute to a cost deduction of over 20% and a benefit increase of more than 5%, and is of great significance for the enhancement of the output capacity for finished products. After the bidding procedure of this project was started, the business staff in the Indian subsidiary of CFMCC Group made great efforts in preparation of bidding documents and the negotiation work. And eventually the outstanding professional capability of CFMCC Group enabled it to stand out from the four competitors and win the contract.

Now the Indian subsidiary of CFMCC Group has commenced preparation work for the project implementation. Meanwhile, the negotiations are under way for the follow-up works such as masonry works for refractory materials, steel structure, equipment, pipeline and electrical facilities.
