ROSATOM to Hold Seminar in South Africa
OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2012. The State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM will be holding the Russian Nuclear Technologies & Solutions Seminar in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 2nd and 3rd April, 2012.
The event is aimed at the further development of cooperation between South African companies and ROSATOM, a leader of the global nuclear power plant construction market.
The two-day seminar will cover a wide range of topics, including ROSATOM’s activities on the global nuclear energy market, ROSATOM’s integrated offer in the NPP construction sphere, as well as the presentation of an NPP with VVER-1200 reactor.
Among the scheduled participants of the seminar are delegates from relevant governmental bodies of the RSA, as well as national nuclear companies’ representatives and industry experts.
The upcoming seminar is also supported by The Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa (NIASA), which Rusatom Overseas has joined as a Sponsor Member in March 2012.
“We intend to strengthen our cooperation with the South African nuclear industry in terms of the planned large scale NPP construction program in the RSA, as well as with the aim of involving the high potential of South African companies in the global NPP construction projects of the State Corporation ROSATOM,” said Alexey Kalinin, the acting president of Rusatom Overseas.
