Shanghai Greening Committee, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Civil Service Bureau jointly issue a document in recognition of the 2009-2011 Shanghai landscaping advanced collectives and individuals. A total of 98 units and 188 individuals are cited. Baosteel Co.,Ltd. Energy & Environmental Protection Department is awarded the title of "Shanghai landscaping advanced collective", reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

From 2009 to 2011, Energy & Environmental Protection Department organized, planned, formulated and implemented" Expo developmental district and shoals greenery renovation program". It dealt with complex geological structure and cultivation difficulty and ensured that before the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, Baosteel would add 300000 square meters of green plants.

During the Expo period, Baosteel was an important industrial visiting place. In order to welcome guests from home and abroad, Energy & Environmental Protection Department prepared "green renovation & enhancement implementation program for World Expo" and actively promoted the implementation. After the Expo, Environmental Protection Department took the initiative and carried out a new round of comprehensive environmental work in the factory area. Last year Baosteel factory area environment outlook has improved remarkably and the view has improved significantly.
