OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2012. By estimates of the SCAN-Interfax system, Sviaz-Bank was among the top ten banks mentioned most frequently in the mass media in 2011. Last year, Sviaz-Bank was mentioned nearly 8,000times in the mass media, and the Bank’s officials were quoted significantly more frequently than ever before, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

The memorandum accompanying the study says that leading Russian banks were mentioned 30% more frequently in 2011 than in 2010, according to estimates made on the basis of SCAN’s database.

According to Svetlana Panicheva, Sviaz-Bank’s Press Service chief and Press Secretary, Sviaz-Bank’s greater prominence in the media is explained by greater information coverage of all significant events in the Bank’s business operations.

Interfax-CEA reported on January 1, 2012 that Sviaz-Bank was 22nd among Russia’s 100biggest banks for core financial performance figures.
