OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. OMZ-Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, completed mounting and startup of the new UZAY 2200-type high-powered bandsaw.

The bandsaw is designed for cutting workpieces weighing up to 200 tons, with a diameter of 2,200 millimeters on a 9 meter length table. It is designed for topping and product sampling.

UZAY 2200-type bandsaw, which costs about 12 million roubles is the last of the bandsaws, delivered under the contract with UZAY MAKINA (Turkey). Its launch has completed the project of renewal of the fleet of this type equipment. The project is worth 30 million roubles.

The new modern equipment will allow OMZ-Spetsstal not only to release heavy lathes for other operations, but also to reduce topping 8 times, which will increase productivity and reduce expenses on manufacturing.
