OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. A presentation of tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in Mumbai, India. Representatives of leading tourism companies, public-political and cultural-humanitarian circled attended the event, Jahon news agency reported.

The guests were informed about tourism potential and modern development of Uzbekistan, as well as adopted measures on development of tourism through preservation of historic-cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that Uzbekistan has over 4,000 objects of historic and cultural heritage, while Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shahrisabz are included to UNESCO heritage list.
