PM of Ukraine Called upon Entrepreneurs to Increase Wages to Employees
OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov called upon entrepreneurs to increase profitability of the enterprises and to raise wages to employees. This was stressed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
"Your business, my dear, to generate income and to pay a normal wage to people so that we have contributions to the Pension Fund are being increased, and people would have got an additive to wages. It's time to go on to the normal wages," stressed Prime Minister, referring to entrepreneurs.
He said the average wage for December of 3 thousand UAH in Ukraine is a low indicator. "Well, is it 3 thousand - it is a normal index for our country?" underlined Mykola Azarov, saying that joint task of the Government and businesses is "removing salaries of the shadows."
At the same time, Prime Minister emphasized that the Government is going to gradually reduce charges on the payroll total. He noted that within two years it have been reduced income tax by 4 percentage points.
Mykola Azarov stressed the Government is doing everything to create the necessary conditions for business development. "Work so that the profit has been. But will a profit be created by Azarov instead of you? Azarov have to create conditions enabling - it is a normal climate, normal price for electricity, gas!" said Prime Minister.
