OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2012. TNK-BP announces that Alfredo Barrios has been appointed Executive Director - Executive Vice President, Downstream, OJSC TNK-BP Management, replacing Didier Baudrand, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Alfredo joins TNK-BP after over 20 years of leadership in BP. Most recently, Alfredo Barrios was President of BP’s operations in Iberia, where he led the establishment and development of the Fuels Value Chain organization in the region, successfully delivering sustained safety and business performance as well as major refining investment projects.

Mr. Barrios has a broad background in BP's downstream operations, having had assignments in Trading, Supply, Logistics, Retail, B2B Marketing, Strategy and Planning & Performance Management, with roles based in Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the United States.

He earned a PhD in Energy Economics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Management from Stanford University’s Sloan program.
