OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2012. In response to Mr Shtorkh’s statement accusing UC RUSAL in disseminating false information on Mr Vekselberg, the Company considers it necessary to state the following.

The information on attendance of the Board meetings is not a personal judgment and is confirmed by relevant Board meeting minutes and is subject to disclosure in UC RUSAL’s annual reports. Such minutes confirm that in 2011 Mr Vekselberg did not participate in person in any live Board meetings since February 2011. This data will be disclosed to public in UC RUSAL’s forthcoming 2011 Annual Report.

With regards to Mr Vekselberg’s active role as the Chairman of the Board, this matter was discussed at Board meetings held on 23 November 2011 and 10 February 2012. Mr Vekselberg’s Board meetings attendance was discussed at a meeting held on 11 November 2011.
