OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2012. Domodedovo airport joined the campaign launched in connection with the 2012 European Football Championship. It will service the special Transaero flight free of charge.

The proposal to provide free transportation by air to football fans to visit 2012 European Football Championship was made by Vladimir Putin. Transaero, a long-term partner and one of the leading carriers of Domodedovo airport, was the first to agree to this proposal.

Domodedovo airport has a long-term experience of transportation athletes and sport fans to important international sport events. In 2012, the airport sent and received back the National Youth Olympic Team of Russia which was travelling to the First Winter Youth Olympics and received KAMAZ Master team which returned from Dakar 2012 marathon rally.
