Allianz Pays 68 mn Roubles on Personal Property Insurance Contracts
OREANDA-NEWS.March 19, 2012. In 2011, insurance compensations paid by IC Allianz (ROSNO trademark) under personal property insurance contracts exceeded 68 mln. roubles, which is 8% above the similar figure for 2010, reported the press-centre of Allianz.
The largest share of insurance compensations (74%, or 51,146,571 roubles) pertained to reimbursement of damage under the fire risk, although this risk accounted for only 17% of all insured accidents. The largest loss occurred in July, when, as a result of short circuit, a cottage house burnt down in Sergievo-Posadsky district of the Moscow Region. This insurance compensation equalled 5,840,040 roubles.
In terms of frequency of losses, floods led with 45% of all insured accidents (the same as in the previous year); however the damage from this risk was not as serious as the one from fires (with an average payment of 41 thousand roubles). Therefore, the aggregate insurance compensation under flood accidents equalled just 13,690,056 roubles. In this respect, one payment under this risk was especially large — 2,039,622 roubles. This compensation was paid to cover the damage from flooding of a cottage house situated in Krasnogorsky district of the Moscow Region.
Among the most widespread insured accidents with no serious effect for insurants are cases of theft (50 cases), unlawful third-party actions (105 cases) and natural disasters (87 cases). The aggregate insurance compensation for these risks equalled 3,214,396 roubles.
As for other risks (loss of animals, veterinary services, collision with transport vehicles, broken glass, explosion), they accounted for 38 settled insured accidents for the total amount of 726,379 roubles.
"In 2011, the largest share of insured accidents, as usual, pertained to floods, and the largest payments were made in connection with fire accidents. Special attention must be paid to the notable increase in the quantity of loss proofs under the risk "Natural disasters", as compared to 2010. This trend has been conditioned by intensive snowfalls in December and January, resulting in the growing amount of payments under the risk "Snow pressure", comments on the year 2011 results Ms. Elena Shatayeva, Deputy Head of the Personal and Property Insurance Loss Settlement Department of OJSC IC Allianz.
