GDP of Moldova Made Up USD 6.93 bn in 2011
OREANDA-NEWS.March 19, 2012. The gross added value in the industrial sector exceeded the past year level by 6,3% and contributed 1,6% to the GDP growth. In agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishery and industry the gross added value grew by 5,5% and 7,1% respectively. It contributed to GDP 0,7% and 0,9% respectively.
The goods sector contributed to GDP 26% against 25,3% in 2010. The gross added value in the service sector grew by 5,4%, and contributed 3,2% to the GDP growth. The increase was determined by 10,7% greater gross added value in wholesale and retail and 60% higher gross added value and transport and communication. The service sector contribution to GDP made up 59,1% against 60,2% in 2010. Taxes on foods grew by 10,1% and contributed to GDP growth 1,7%, being the 17,5% portion of GDP.
The final consumption grew by 6,4% as compared with 2010 and contributed to the GDP growth 7,4%. The rise was determined by 8,5% bigger final consumption in households. In 2011 the gross fixed capital formation increased by 10,7% and contributed to the GDP growth 2,4%, making its 23,2% share. In the total volume of the domestic demand (final consumption and gross fixed capital formation) 82,7% fell to final consumption and 17,3% to capital formation against 83,1% and 16,9% in 2010 respectively.
In natural terms, the total volume of the domestic demand 7,4% exceeded that of the past year. Export and import of gods and services increased by 28,6% and 19,3% respectively as compared with 2010.
