OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2012. The Ministry of Finance calls biassed and delusive the information by some mass-media that the government of RM supports opening duty-free filling stations. The ministry of finance expresses disagreements with such publications and considers their conclusions wrong and unproved.

The right for duty-free trade is defined by the regulations adopted by the government on November, 2, 2005, the Ministry informs. The document stipulates an opportunity to sell an unlimited amount of fuel in a duty-free regime.

According to the resolution of the government of Moldova dated on October, 27, 2010, duty-free sales of fuel were restricted by a volume of a tank of a vehicle crossing a border. The draft resolution was approved and endorsed by the state bodies during two months in accord with the law.

The ministry of finance confirms the position of the government to further fair competition in any area and to refuse supporting the unfair trade which can be harmful for the state budget.
