OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2012. The M2M telematics Group of companies, the leading Russian innovation brand, summarized its activity for 2011. The turnover of M2M telematics Group, according to provisional evaluations, was 3 billion roubles, having achieved 2.5 times the growth of 2010, which is an indicator of its absolute leadership in the transport telematics and satellite navigation market. In the last 5 years, the turnover of the M2M telematics Group of companies has increased by more than 60 times!

Thus, the overall turnover of the navigation and information business of Sistema JSFC ("Sistema") was 6.3 billion roubles in 2011. Previously, Joint Stock Company "Navigation-Information Systems" declared its total turnover in 2011 as 3.3 billion roubles.

In 2011, M2M telematics put up to sale 300,000 navigation devices (navigation systems, chip sets, navigation and communication equipment), and 150 thousand of them are GLONASS/GPS chipsets developed by the R&D Center "GeoStar navigation" (belongs to M2M telematics Group of companies). In 2011, more than 52,000 units of navigation and communication equipment was produced and sold under M2M telematics brand).

Once again, the company confirmed its status as a technological leader in the industry, having developed 15 types of AVL-terminals in just 2011. In line with the traditions of the strongest engineering school of M2M telematics, a high quality GLONASS/GPS equipment system was created with two SIM cards, a built-in battery, a Wi-Fi module; specialised GLONASS equipment for river transport, a unique M2M-GIS Platform® program complex and much more.

In August 2011, M2M telematics launched GLONASS budget equipment into full production. At the end of the year, the Group of companies released a completely new GLONASS solution for high-precision positioning; the M2M-HDControl® system to the market. In total, 20 software products for different sectors of the economy have been developed.

Every day, M2M telematics provides navigation and communication equipment for up to 200 vehicles and creates 5 dispatcher workspaces all over Russia.

Over the course of 2011, M2M telematics, the technological partner of Joint Stock Company "Navigation-Information Systems", has taken part in large projects for the integration of GLONASS technology: ITS Moscow, Transneft, Sochi Logistical Transport Centre (SLT), State Courier Service of the Russian Federation etc. It is worth noting the active cooperation of M2M telematics with leading world brands like Deutsche Telekom, Motorola, Oracle, Navteq, Cinterion etc.

The Group of companies has implemented GLONASS solutions at Tractor Factories Corporation, Agricultural manufacturing holding company Rusgrein Holding, Gruppa Cherkizovo, MOESK, Sibirskaya Servisnaya Kompaniya (SSK), Ruzskie teplovie seti, Serpukhovskie teplovie seti, and also in Weatherford, Bashkirenergo, Samotlorneftegaz, Mosgaz, Morton-RSO and many other companies.

In 2011, M2M telematics completed the creation of the largest network of regional dispatcher centres in the market, numbering 85 partner companies on the entire territory of Russia and CIS countries. The future strategy of the Group of companies is designed for the creation of an integrated information and technological space based on GLONASS technologies, as well as the development of the M2M REGION® Service program. The program is designed for the provision of an efficient and high quality customer service throughout the entire country.

In 2011, together with Joint Stock Company "Navigation-Information Systems", M2M telematics took part in regional projects for the integration of GLONASS technology: In the regions of Smolensk, Astrakhan, Altai, Khanti-Mansiysk autonomous area, Yamalo-Nenetskiy autonomous area and many others.

In 2011, the portion M2M telematics held in the sector of provision of equipment based on GLONASS/GPS was 41%; equipment based on GPS – 17%; in the combined GLONASS/GPS chipset market it was 70%; in the personal navigation systems market (with sat-navs under the SHTURMANN® brand) the portion was 10%.
