OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2012. The quality of TATNEFT's internal audit function carried out by the Internal Audit Department of the Company has been successfully evaluated, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The evaluation by experts of Ernst & Young Company concluded that the activity of the management in general complies with International professional standards of the internal audit of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

On the basis of the experts' assessment and recommendations the Board of Directors of TATNEFT have approved a strategic plan for the Internal Audit Department activity for 2012-2014.

Performance of an independent external assessment of the internal audit function at least once every 5 years is one of the requirements of the International Standards of professional internal auditing. The previous similar assessment was performed at TATNEFT in 2008 by PWC Company.
