OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2012. This month Commercial Port of Vladivostok took delivery of two Kalmar RTG cranes. The cranes are specialized equipment for yard handling of containers in Vladivostok Container Terminal (Berth 14-15 rear areas).

Rubber-tyred gantry cranes (lifting capacity of 45 tons, productivity of 27-30 move/hr) were manufactured at Cargotec factory in Shanghai (China). Contract for these cranes is worth more than EUR 2 m. RTG cranes are slated to come into operation at the beginning of the 2-nd quarter 2012. Currently VCT operates 4 Kalmar RTG cranes at storage yard.

A total of EUR 9.7 m was invested by VCT for new cargo handling equipment in 2011.

This April VCT will take delivery of two 60-tonne capacity Liebherr STS cranes.
