Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Continues Cooperation with Trade Unions
OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2012. At the Ministry of Finance there has been held a meeting the leaders of Trade Unions of Ukraine with the heads of branch departments of the Ministry.
During the meeting the parties discussed the progress of consideration and participate of the Ministry of Finance in solving problematic social and economic issues raised by national trade unions and professional associations at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on 27 January 2012 and the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko on March 3, 2012.
The meeting participants have listened to substantiation of stand of the Ministry of Finance regarding orders of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov that has been given to requests of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine and the activists of trade union following the results of a joint meeting.
Speaking about the implementation of social initiatives set by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych that were proclaimed during an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 7 this year, they stressed the necessity of cooperation in finding sources of funding.
In addition, by results of the meeting there has been supported the proposals of the trade union party regarding organization of joint work to improve the tax legislation, in particular with involvement of representatives of the Association of Small Cities of Ukraine, the Association of Mayors of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of trade unions have expressed their desire to continue cooperation in preparing the draft of the state budget for 2013 and predicted budget figures for 2014 and 2015.
