OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2012. Uzbekneftegaz national holding company in 2012 will attract US million to modernization of two compression stations – CS-2 and CS-3, which are located at Central Asia – Center gas pipeline.

Energonews reported quoting Uztransgaz representatives that the resources are attracted to install gas-turbine units with electricity traction with the capacity of 25 megawatt at each compression stations. The project will be implemented within two years.

The project implementation will allow to produce 212 megawatt-hour electricity in autonomous regime and decrease dependence of electricity supply twice and improve reliability of gas supplies to Tashkent region and Ferghana valley (Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions).

The report said that the Uzbek company will announce tender on supply of equipment in the first half of 2012.

Uzbekneftegaz is planning to implement the project due to own resources.
