OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2012. Customers taking out an Access personal loan are now able to take advantage of a new optional insurance plan. Should the insured event occur, any debt payable to the Bank will be compensated by an insurance company, reported the press-centre of Uniastrum Bank.

Borrowers are offered a choice of two programs, Life and Health Insurance, and Life, Health and Employment Insurance. The insurance policy covers the period over which the loan is to be repaid. Similar schemes are already available for cardholders taking out overdraft facilities. Uniastrum cardholders are also able to take advantage of a special insurance program that provides coverage when traveling abroad.

Loan protection insurance schemes are becoming increasingly popular. By opting for an insurance plan, Uniastrum customers can avoid any number of difficulties that could arise with repayments, such as a significant decline in income due to unemployment or health problems. Insurance coverage also helps guard against potential difficulties caused by outstanding debts and litigation involving friends and relatives.

“The Access personal loan is our flagship product and remains a highly popular credit program thanks primarily to its easy terms and quick and no-fuss application procedures,” notes Vasily Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of Uniastrum’s Management Board. “There can no doubt that credit insurance makes Access an even more appealing and convenient loan option for borrowers.”
