His responsibilities will include the strengthening the strategic focus of the equity research team using his extensive experience, development of new analytical products for CIS equities markets and management of equity research for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. As part of the new organisational structure, alongside Alexander Kudrin, Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Research, Mr Smith will report directly to Paolo Zaniboni, Head of Research and Managing Director at Troika Dialog.

Andy has a global reputation and is well-known in the market by institutional investors and has built a strong track record as a top-rated analyst, portfolio manager and research manager. Andy was voted into the 'All-Star Analyst Team' several times by Institutional Investor Magazine and was declared one of the top ranked analysts across all European sectors. Prior to joining Troika Andy was Head of Research at MF Global and ICAP Equities, a senior portfolio manager at Millennium Capital and Citadel Investment, and a top ranked analyst at Citigroup and Schroders.
