OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2012. Assembly of double-glass panes is in progress at all main buildings of the Russian National Sliding Centre in Krasnaya Polyana. 1300 m2 of 2200 m2 translucent systems are installed.

Men’s and Ladies’ start buildings, and technical facilities are fully glass-covered. Work is in progress at the finish building and weigh house.

Glass-covering is made in the unique architectural style: double-glass panes are mounted to the aluminum framework, and the seams are closed with the pressure plate. These double-glass panes have energy-sufficient glass. Internal glass is a safe triplex, which will not shatter into pieces in case of a stroke; external glass is tinted and tempered.

The whole complex of the main facilities of the Russian National Sliding Centre was completed last year. At the present time finishing works, networks and communications installation, cooling systems adjustment are in progress. The track is being prepared for the ice covering.
