OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2012. TRL Krosaki Refractories observed ‘Safety Week’ from March 4-10, 2012. While the Safety Week inaugural programme was held on March 4, 2012, the valediction was organised on March 10, 2012, the last day of the campaign. Kiyotaka Oshikawa, director, was the chief guest; Dr TP Dash, VP, HR and admin; PK Aich, president, TRSS, and RKRout, general secretary, TRSS, were the guests of honour in the function.

In a well-attended gathering of the employees, the guests distributed a large number of prizes to the winners of different competitions conducted during the week for creating safety awareness among the employees and contract workers. Essay, slogan, poster, and quiz competitions and training programmes were organised for the employees including contract workers. Mr Oshikawa pointed out the importance of human life and said that employees should imbibe safe work culture in their work life. Dr Dash urged the officers and workmen to enhance the safety standard and move towards developing a safety culture in the factory. Mr Aich pointed out that safety has no holiday and one should ensure safety every day and every moment. Mr Rout urged everybody to follow safety rules and wear helmet not only inside the factory premises but also outside it. While Pijush Kanti Mondal, AGM, safety management, made the welcome address, Md Samsad, a safety committee member, proposed the vote of thanks.
