TATNEFT Implemented 1000 Dual Oil Production Installations
OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2012. TATNEFT continues to actively apply innovations to ensure the effective operation of crude oil fields. The one thousandth installation of dual completion and production (DCP) was introduced at the Company, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
As of February 1, 2012 the total production resulting from installations of DCP, dual completion/production and injection (DCPI) and dual completion and injection (DCI) of OAO TATNEFT amounted to 3,588,032 tons of crude oil.
The total additional production of the wells equipped with DCP installations from the beginning of their installation amounted to 2,956,369 tons. The average increase in crude oil daily production per well from the beginning of the installations operation amounted to 3.65 tons per day.
The DCP installations designed by specialists of TatNIPIneft allow simultaneously produce crude oil from the targets with different reservoir characteristics and properties. Their application increases the production profitability of individual wells by connecting to the well other development targets or different productivity layers of the same development target. The optimization of the targets production leads to increasing the well productivity. Use of a single wellbore and the arrangement of simultaneous (joint) production of hydrocarbon reserves from different development targets by a single well spacing pattern reduce the amount of drilling. Hence, the DCP technology allows essential optimizing of crude oil production costs.
The Company employs a variety of designs, including a single-lift DCP design for sucker rod downhole pumps (SRP), a dual-lift (SRP-SRP) design with a separate lift of crude products, as well as a DCP design SRP-ESP (with an electric centrifugal pump) with a joint and separate lifts of products.
The Company also successfully applies the method of dual completion and injection (DCI). 320 injection wells are in operation with application of DCI technology. The total injected volume of injection wells into intermingled layers (DCI) amounted to 8.83 million m3 of water from the beginning of their operation. Additional crude oil production from the responding wells amounted to 631,663 tons.
