SOCAR largest asset in Georgia – Kulevi Oil Terminal has always kept this issue in the focus of attention, periodically organizing trainings for its employees and sending them abroad for specialized courses. In order to increase professional level of the staff and use their abilities in a more efficient way, the Terminal conducts performance appraisal process of the employees’ activities at the end of each year. The performance appraisal process covers all kind of aspects starting from objectives achieved by an employee up to his personal qualities and professional skills and is accompanied with necessary documentations. The final analysis of the results gives a vivid picture of an overall staff performance and enables the authorities to fill the gaps, make a better use of employees’ skills and direct human resources in a proper way. According to the performance appraisal process results of 2011 year, the majority of the employees displayed high level of expertise necessary for successful fulfillment of their duties. Compared to the previous years, the staff performance indicators substantially increased. This was made possible by a responsible and innovative approach to work, continuous and enthusiastic self-improvement and good management.
