OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. Transaero Airlines announces its operating results for the first month of 2012 which indicate steady growth of the carrier's business during the period.

In January 2012:

Passenger turnover reached 2.94 billion RPK (17.7% increase in comparison with the first month of 2011)

The total number of passengers carried amounted to 603,360 (23.2% increase in comparison with the same period last year)

Transaero transported a total amount of 3,012.41 tons of cargo (26.9% increase in comparison with January of 2011)

Cargo traffic totaled 0.281 billion RTK (18% increase in comparison with the same period last year).
