Following the signing of agreements by Masteel and Taiyuan Steel to provide CNPC with X80 pipeline steel, domestic steelmakers could receive even larger amount of orders from the forthcoming construction of the third line of the project for shipping natural gas from west to east that covers a 2,445-kilometer distance from Xinjiang to Fujian.

At present, Baosteel, Wuhan Steel, Shougang, Taiyuan Steel, Masteel, Shagang and Benxi Steel all have been are in a position to mass produce X80 pipeline steel, most of which have been applied to the second line of the West-East Gas transportation project.
