OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. Members of the Expert Council at the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for developing competition in the social sphere and health care discussed the issues of improving the drug registration system, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Head of FAS Department for Control over Commerce and Social Sphere, Timophei Nizhegorodtsev, informed participants about the problems in regulation of official drugs registration, revealed by the antimonopoly authority, and proposed methods of resolving them.

Participants expressed their gratitude to the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the completed work and discussed conceptual proposals outlined by the antimonopoly authority and put forward their own ideas. The experts also discussed a draft Federal Law “On Introducing Amendments to the Federal Law “On Medicines Circulation” devised by FAS Russia.

In the near future FAS will submit the proposals for introducing amendments to the Federal Law “On Medicines Circulation” to the Ministry of Health Care and Social Development. FAS completed this work executing instructions from Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Igor Sechin, towards improving the procedures for registering medicines.
