OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. The Central Bank is holding a workshop on the key principles of IFRS 9: Financial Instruments jointly with Ernst&Young, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The two-day workshop is to be delivered by the specialists of the Moscow and Paris offices of Ernst&Young.

The workshop will cover replacement of IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement with IFRS 9 Financial Instruments from 2015 as well as the status of existing accounting and reporting on assets upon application of IFRS 9. The workshop will provide participants with information on classification and evaluation techniques of financial assets, risks disclosure requirements and changes in the methodology of evaliuation of loan loss provisioning as well.

The workshop is attended by heads of financial units and chief accountants of commercial banks, as well as the employees of relevant departments of the Central Bank, representatives from the SOFAZ and International Investment Company Khazar.
