OREANDA-NEWS. March 06, 2012. The winning in this HR-brand 2011 annual independent award, which announces the most successful employing companies, was brought by the company’s Hurry Up for Good Deeds programme to support the charitable initiatives of the employee, reported the press-centre of Sakhalin Energy.

The project involved hundreds of companies, of which only 50, including Sakhalin Energy, reached the final. The result of the company’s participation was the first award in the Region category.

The Hurry Up for Good Deeds programme involves more and more employees of Sakhalin Energy. A lot of them make donations, arrange charity events and drive our families and friends to contribute to such projects. Every eighth member is a regular participant of the programme and nearly half of the personnel are involved in the events.

Last year Sakhalin Energy directed the donations to the projects for Preodolenie rehabilitation centre for disabled children, the newborn pathology department of the Sakhalin regional children’s hospital, the orphans home in Nysh, lone old men and children from social and rehabilitation centres of Sakhalin.

Since 2003, when the programme was launched, it has become an important part of our corporate culture and social policy. Charitable activities and personal involvement in projects, that bring joy to other people, give an opportunity to feel part of a large and necessary deed and help develop leadership skills.
