A new text-book “Competition Law in Russia” is edited by the Head of FAS, an honoured economist of the Russian Federation, Igor Artemyev, and the Head of FAS Analytical Department, a candidate of economics [a PhD equivalent], an honoured economist of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sushkevich, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In Russia the antimonopoly law exists over 20 years. Within this period every year Courts passed over 800 rulings, and the Antimonopoly Service and this regional bodies made over 3500 decisions. The Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation has considered several dozens of very important cases.

The text-book gives detailed account of the history of emerging and developing of competitive relations in Russia, explains the concept of “competition”, discusses, in particular, the issues of state influence and создания legal acts aimed at protecting competition in the Russian Federation, and describes European and Russian systems of antimonopoly regulation.

The treatise was prepared by practitioners and theorists of antimonopoly regulation: the Head of FAS, an honoured economist of the Russian Federation, Igor Artemyev; an honoured economist of the Russian Federation (Dr. of Economics), Sushkevich; professor Klein; Rabco (Dr. of Law); Borzilo (Dr. of Law); Pouzyevsky (Dr. of Law); Alyoshin; and Seredina.

The text-book summarizes numerous works on competition law and analyses the most important case in Russian practice of the antimonopoly regulation within the past seven years.

The concept of the text-book is an informative – research work. The book will be similarly useful to students, post-graduate students, lecturers of economic and law universities and faculties, as well as entrepreneurs and CEOs.
