BHEL Commissions Record 13 MW of Solar Power Plants in 2011-12
OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2012. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has set a new record in its Solar Photovoltaic (PV) business in a single year, by commissioning 13 MW of Solar Power Plants in various parts of the country during the current financial year, marking a significant contribution to the Nation’s Green Initiatives.
Solar Power Projects commissioned by the company during the year include a 3 MW Grid Connected Solar Power Plant at Raichur in Karnataka, a 5 MW Plant in Rajasthan, 2 plants of 2 MW each in Maharashtra and over 1 MW in the Lakshadweep Islands. Significantly, all these projects have been commissioned by BHEL on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.
