OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2012. Yekaterinburg branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company is the official partner of the Yekaterinburg Gallery of Modern Art within the framework of the unique exhibition project "Ernst Neizvestny. Graphic works. Sculptures".

For the first time in several decades, the sculptures and graphic work series of Ernst Neizvestny selected by the author himself for the exhibition in his homeland will be exhibited for the Yekaterinburg public. The author currently living in New York City did not manage to take part in the exhibition opening because of his venerable age. However, he delivered his message to the citizens of Yekaterinburg, among other things stating the following, "I am sincerely grateful to the organizers and sponsors of this event for the fact that you and me finally have  got a chance to be seen and heard mutually in the city of Yekaterinburg".

 Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has provided the insurance coverage for 41 exhibits of the show. The objects have been insured for "all risks" according to the principle of "nail-to-nail insurance". The insurance coverage includes damages, total loss and loss of a part of or all cultural values for any reason. The cultural coverage will be valid for the period of the high-value cargo shipment, as well as for the whole period of exhibition in the halls of the Yekaterinburg Gallery of Modern Art.

Ernst Neizvestny is a world-famous artist included into art history course-books a long time ago. The artist was born in Sverdlovsk in 1925. After leaving the USSR and moving abroad, Neizvestny's relationships with Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) were not a success, and his works' exhibitions were not held here either. Nowadays, due to joint efforts of sponsors and organizers of the exhibition, the citizens of Yekaterinburg will be able to see the works of one of the most prominent townsmen of theirs. The exhibition will be held in the Yekaterinburg Gallery of Modern Art from February 18 till April 8, 2012.
