Azerbaijani Delegation Holds Meetings in Arkansas
OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2012. Turkish-Azerbaijani delegation, being on visit to the United States of America, held a number of important meetings in the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as other state bodies.
Azerbaijan was represented in the meetings by the Members of Parliament Mr. Asim Mollazade and Ms. Sevinj Fataliyeva, SOCAR Vice-president of HR, IT and regulations Mr. Khalik Mammadov, and counselor of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the U.S. Mr. Nasimi Aghayev.
Achievements in strategic cooperation between the U.S.A. and Azerbaijan were discussed at the meetings of Azerbaijani delegation with the governor, senators, and members of the House of Representatives of Arkansas. During the meetings, the Members of Parliament Mr. Asim Mollazade and Ms. Sevinj Fataliyeva highly appreciated the partner relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S.A., expressed confidence in future development of these relations.
In his speech, the MP Asim Mollazade congratulated both counties on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Azerbaijan, and stated that both Azerbaijani and American people share common values as liberty of speech, democracy and fight against terrorism, as well as establishment of peace in the world. In turn, Senator of Arkansas Joyce Elliot emphasized the importance of further development of bilateral relations.
