OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. A meeting with the delegation led by Acting Chairman Senate of Pakistan Mir Jan Jamali was held at Head office of SOCAR.

 Welcoming the guests, SOCAR vice president on investments and marketing Elshad Nassirov noted that Pakistan, which was among the first states recognizing the state independence of Azerbaijan, always supported and protected the position of Azerbaijan in high-level international events. Speaking about recent economic achievements of Azerbaijan, Mr. Nassirov stressed the successful development of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in all spheres including economic sector. Pointing out the role of new oil strategy in the development of the country, SOCAR vice president informed the guests on large-scale international projects implemented by the Company.

Acting Chairman Senate of Pakistan Mir Jan Jamali praised the development in Azerbaijan by expressing pride in friendly relations by the two countries. He emphasized the importance of benefiting from wide opportunities for developing cooperation in economic and oil-gas sector.
