OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. The Central Commission on development of hydrocarbon deposits, a division of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, has approved the Process flow diagram (designed by OJSC Gazprom promgaz) for pilot commercial development of the south-east part of Taldinskoye methane-coal deposit. A project document for development of a methane-coal deposit was prepared for the first time in Russia.

The Process flow diagram determines the system of commercial development of the deposit basing on the information of its prospecting and test production. The chosen variant of deposit development involves usage of efficient technical solutions, considering the special features of geological structure of the deposit and location of the methane extraction facility near coal-producing enterprises.

Development of the Process flow diagram became feasible due to the performed reserves assessment of methane as an individual mineral resource and its inclusion into the All-Russia classifier of mineral resources and subsurface waters.

At the present time, preparatory works for construction of 14 production wells are performed at Taldinskoye deposit. Transition to experimental-industrial production is scheduled for the second half of 2012.
