OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. The Government has approved a bill which proposes to simplify the permitting system in the construction industry by removing licensing of architecture objects of I-III categories of complexity. A draft law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Architectural Activity" and "On licensing certain business activities" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Government bill, which was proposed to the Parliament, has to improve state regulation of urban development. In particular, it will be abolished licensing of activities in the class of effects that are classified as minor, ie economic activity associated with the creation of architectural objects of I-III categories of complexity. However, licensing activities remains at more complex objects which relate to IV and V categories of complexity.
