OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. Supervisory Board of Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) held a meeting to discuss a number of key business issues, particularly the lending activity under the State Program on Agribusiness Development and improvement of the regional branch network, reported the press-centre of RusAg.

Supervisory Board examined the results of lending to agricultural sector under the State Program on agribusiness development and agricultural-related markets regulation for 2008-2012. The Bank holds the leading positions in terms of lending volumes and successfully operates throughout the country.

In the framework of the State Program and various regional development programs RusAg extended more than RUB 1.3 trillion in 2008-2011, which covers all the major agribusiness subsectors: livestock, plant breeding, food and processing industry, small enterprises. The Bank plans to further diversify its product range for different categories of customers to provide financial services to the whole agribusiness production chain.

During the meeting, Supervisory Board also considered the issues of the regional branch network development. In 2011, the Bank took significant steps to enhance the operational effectiveness of its regional subsidiaries. At present, RusAg’s regional branch network covers 84% of the territory of the Russian Federation.
