TATNEFT Presents Results of Resource Saving Program for 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. The first year of implementing the activities envisaged by TATNEFT's dedicated resource saving program designed for the period 2011-2020 resulted in saving 4 percent of basic energy resources consumption. The ultimate goal of the program is to achieve the savings level of 13.5 percent by 2020, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
In 2011 the actual energy resource savings from introduction of the resource conservation activities resulted in saving 41,460 tons of standard fuel. The results achieved demonstrate that TATNEFT Company enterprises involved in the program actively participate in its implementation.
Among structural divisions of the Joint Stock Company significant results were achieved by NGDU "Almetyevneft", NGDU "Yamashneft", NGDU "Elkhovneft" and NGDU "Leninogorskneft."
Also oil service companies of Tatarstan were involved in TATNEFT's resource saving program implementation.
During the period under review 468 activities were carried out with 219 of them aimed at saving electric energy. Specific power consumption for crude oil production amounted to 117.7 kWh/t in 2011 (planned figure was 118.6 kWh/t), which is lower than the planned value by 0.76 percent.
The most effective activities aimed at resource saving were: reduction of the associated water production at the account of selective stopping of the highly watered wells (25.5 percent); reduction of unproductive water injection (9.7 percent); reduction of the associated water production through shutting off the water-bearing formations and horizons (8.6 percent).
Contribution of the Company to the development of energy-efficient production has been noted at the governmental level. TATNEFT has won the Republican review contest in 2011 for the implementation of the long-term dedicated program "Energy saving and energy efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2010-2015 and till 2020".
Information Reference
A comprehensive TATNEFT program of resource saving was compiled and approved in 2010 for the period till 2020. Its aims and objectives are harmonized with the requirements of the Federal Law on Energy Efficiency, as well as the State program of energy conservation and energy efficiency, approved by the RF Government Executive Order of No. 2446-r dated December 27, 2010.
The scope of the new program is wider than the scope of the previous one and covers not only energy, but also natural and material resources. In addition to the structural divisions the program also involves service management companies.
The program implementation through the introduction of energy efficient technologies should result in the following saving of fuel and energy resources: 7.4 percent of base consumption by 2015 and 13.5 percent in 2020.
