OREANDA-NEWS. February 28, 2012. Korean government will assign USD 43.5 million for improvement of sewerage system of Absheron district’s Pirshagi settlement.

The report from national water operator OJSC Azersu says that today head of OJSC’s Foreign Relations Department Ilgar Tagiyev has received delegation with the mission of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

The mission reps stated that Korean government is going to assign USD 43.5 million for implementation of the project " Construction of machine on cleaning of Pirshagi’s waste water". The credit will be provided for 40 years with a 10-year concessional period at annual interest rate 0,2%.

Total cost of the project is estimated at USD 60 million.

The project assumes improvement of sewerage system in Pirshagi settlement of Baku. Machine on waste water cleaning with 40.000 cu m per day capacity will be constructed within the project. The refined waste water will be directed for irrigation.
