Helios IT: Services Reached 28% of Business Turnover
OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2012. Helios IT, part of ARMADA JSC (MICEX-RTS: ARMD), hereby announces the completion of the project on its conversion from the manufacturer of computing hardware into IT integrator with a high share of services. Since 2006, when Helios joined ARMADA group, the share of services in the company’s portfolio rose from 4% to 28%, and revenue more than tripled. In 2012, Helios Computer LLC changed its name to Helios Information Technologies LLC.
The company’s regular customers number over 50 major state-owned companies and financial organizations, industrial and energy companies, including the Bank of Russia, Home Credit and Finance Bank LLC, BSGV (Rosbank), Fortum OJSC, and VTB Insurance, to name just a few. Helios IT is also a gold partner of HP Software and Microsoft, enjoys IBM’s Premier Business Partner status and other partnerships with IT vendors. Back in 1999, we set the goal of rolling out a national manufacturer of computing hardware for the corporate market that would be able to compete with foreign brands, and we have fully achieved this goal. Today, products that carry the HELiOS trademark are in high demand among our regular customers, and we do not plan to completely abandon this part of our business. As time passed, we stayed abreast of our clients’ demands and significantly expanded the range of our services. The company’s new business is currently growing at a dramatic rate: by 30%-40% per year, which gives us reason to believe that the share of services will only continue to go up in the future, Azer Badalov, Helios Information Technologies CEO, said.
Thanks to the fact that Helios was able to assess the outlook for the highly profitable segment of IT services, in just five years the company managed to refocus its business completely in order to concentrate on this segment. Among integrators that provide comprehensive services related to software, IT services and infrastructure, ARMADA’s major advantage is its lowest share of hardware solutions in the group’s revenue, which ensures a double-digit margin, as opposed to its competitors, said Alexey Kuzovkin, Chairman of ARMADA JSC Board of Directors.
