OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2012. The Government of Belarus considers FrislandCampina of the Netherlands as a likely partner in a project to establish dairy holding companies in Belarus, a source in the Government of Belarus told reporters.

The National Agency for Investments and Privatization in association with Belarus’ Embassy in the Netherlands held a workshop on November 23, 2011 to advertize Belarus’ investment potential for Dutch companies.

Following the workshop FrislandCampina showed an interest in joining Belarus’ project to establish dairy holding companies, assist in public private partnership projects in Belarus and invest in Belarus-based dairy companies within the framework of a large-scale privatization campaign in Belarus.

FrislandCampina representatives are expected to visit Belarus in April 2012.
