FAS Took Part in Meeting of Steering Committee of ICN
OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2012. A delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in a meeting of the Steering Committee of the International Competition Network (ICN), where participants discussed several current issues of ICN work, including the project “Cooperation between Competition Authorities and Judicial Community”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
“Amidst constantly changing market it is difficult to overestimate importance of cooperation between competition authorities and judicial, especially in view of increasing significance of economic evidence, based on in-depth economic analysis of companies’ conduct and market characteristics. FAS Russia accumulated considerable experience of cooperation with judges in course of investigating antimonopoly cases as well as joint events, and will be happy to share this experience with our ICN colleagues”, pointed out the Head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov.
Participants also discussed preparation to the next ICN conference, which will take place in April 2012 in Brazil.
