"Kyivstar is paying special attention to the connection of schools to the Internet in smaller cities and raion centers. The Company is taking care of creating equal opportunities for children to access modern technologies, no matter in which city they live. Also, we are striving to do so that our present is only of benefit to the students. Due to the Kyivstar’s efforts educational events have been carried out at schools aimed to inform children, teachers and parents about rules of safety in the Internet. Thus, in five cities of
School buildings are connected to the Kyivstar backbone network by means of optical fiber communication lines on the basis of the FTTB technology (fiber to the building). The Company specialists perform a complex of works in the premises of educational institutions to connect computer classrooms to the Internet. The Internet access is provided to schools under the terms developed within a framework of partnership between Kyivstar and the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine. Educational institutions get free unlimited traffic at a speed of 10 Mbps during school hours.
As of today Kyivstar has provided 180 schools with unlimited broadband Internet in
